Board of Directors of Ames Town and Country Kiwanis Meeting
February 12, 2022
1. Call to Order: Leo Timms called the meeting of the Board of Directors of Ames Town and Country Kiwanis Club to order with these members in attendance: Ray Callahan, Phil Martinm, Stephanie Clark, Marilyn Johnson, Mary Ann Lundy, Dick McCoy, Bob jolly, Dan Franklin, Dean Howarth, Randy Griffith, Mike Dubiel, Leo Timms, Sharday Grove, and Sue Griffith.
2. Minutes of Previous Meeting: Minutes of the January 15, 2022 meeting of the Board of Directors was approved.
3. Financial Report: Treasurer Bob Jolly gave this financial report as of February 10, 2022:

4. Club Promotional Brochure: Dan Franklin reported that Sharday Grove has prepared a semifinal draft for his committee and the membership to consider for adoption.
5. Resignation of Wendy Zimmerman: A motion to accept the resignation of Wendy Zimmerman effective to the last day of her previous billing, which is December 31, 2021 was approved.
6. Amplify: A motion to support Sharday Grove for $200 and Arunadee Fernando for $100 (has $100 scholarship) to participate in the KI Amplify (leadership training) program was approved.
7. Fundraising: Sue Griffith agreed to coordinate our Club’s participation in the Sports Foundation and the Rummage Sale this July.
8. Trees for Kids: Mary Ann Lundy, with assistance of a subcommittee, is coordinating the development of a grant proposal for submission to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, requesting $2,500 for purchase and planting of trees with the Ames Builders Club at a public place in Ames. Deadline for submission is March 4, 2022. There is an option to submit the grant in the fall as well.
9. Home Allies: The members discussed the possibility of our Club supporting Home Allies with a donation of $1,750 ($1,250 for construction; $500 for subsidy) as suggested by Lauris Olson of Home Allies. The possibility of support will be discussed at a future meeting of the Foundation Board of Directors.
10. Adjournment: A motion to adjourn the meeting of the Board of Directors was approved.

February 12, 2022
1. Call to Order: Leo Timms called the meeting of the Board of Directors of Ames Town and Country Kiwanis Club to order with these members in attendance: Ray Callahan, Phil Martinm, Stephanie Clark, Marilyn Johnson, Mary Ann Lundy, Dick McCoy, Bob jolly, Dan Franklin, Dean Howarth, Randy Griffith, Mike Dubiel, Leo Timms, Sharday Grove, and Sue Griffith.
2. Minutes of Previous Meeting: Minutes of the January 15, 2022 meeting of the Board of Directors of the Foundation were approved.
3. Financial Report: Treasurer Bob Jolly gave this financial balance as of February 10, 2022: $25,759.
4. Trees for Kids: The first reading of a motion to provide $2,500 for support of Trees for Kids program was approved.
5. Home Allies: The possible participation of our Club with the Home Allies proposal discussed by the Board of Directors ($1,750) was recommended to be discussed by the membership at the next Club meeting.
6. Adjournment: A motion to adjourn the meeting was approved.
